Mac COINGHEALLAIGH—IVM'Cangellye, M'Congillye, M'Cynelig, M'Kennella, M'Connella, Quinnelly, Kennelly, Connelly, Connolly; 'son of Coingheallach' (faithful to pledges); now always Ó Coingheallaigh, which see; the name of a family in West Cork who were formerly retainers of O'Donovan and at one time owned seven ploughlands in the parish of Drinagh, near Drimoleague. Also in use in Ormond.
