Ó Coingheallaigh
Ó COINGHEALLAIGH—I—O Cangelly, O Connilla, O Kennelly, Kangley, Quinnelly, Kennelly, (Connelly), &c.; 'descendant of Coingheallach' (pledged, serving under conditions); the name of a West Cork family who were retainers of the O'Donovans, from whom they held at one time seven ploughlands in the parish of Drinagh, near Drimoleague. The name was also in Ormond. Mac Coingheallaigh was an alias in both places.
