Ó MUINEÓG—IO Monoge, Manogue, Minogue, Minnock, Mannix; 'descendant of Muineóg' (diminutive of manach, a monk); an attenuated form of Ó Manóg, which see; a common surname in Clare and Offaly. Cléirchen Ó Muineóg was Bishop of Leighlin in the 11th century.
