Ó hINNEIRGHE—IO Hinnerie, O Hennerey, O Henry, Henery, Henry, Hendry; 'descendant of Inneirghe' (the rising, early riser); the name of a family of Cinel Eoghain, who were chiefs of Cuileanntrach, in Co. Tyrone. Cian Ó hInneirghe was one of the chiefs who fell at the battle of Down in 1250. The name is very common in Ulster.
