Ó hEIDÍN, Ó hÉIDÍN—I—O Hedine, O Headyne, O Heden, O Headen, O Hedian, O Heyden, Heden, Headen, Hadian, Haydin, Hayden, Haydon, &c.; 'descendant of Eididhín' (diminutive of Eideadh); a variant of Ó hEideáin, which see; formerly a common surname, especially in Roscommon, Tipperary and South Leinster.
