Ó hEIDEÁIN, Ó hÉIDEÁIN—I—O Hedayne, O Hedane, O Heyden, Heden, Headen, Haden, Hayden, Haydon, &c.; 'descendant of Eideadhán' (diminutive of Eideadh); a variant of Ó hEidín and Ó hEideagáin, which see. In Roscommon it probably represents the older Ó hEideagáin or Ó hEiteagáin, which see.
