Ó DUBHRAIC—IO Duvrick, O Durick, O Dowricke, Durack, Durick, Darrick; 'descendant of Dubhratha' (Black of prosperity); older form Ó Dubhratha; the name of a Dalcassian family who were anciently lords of Ui Conghaile, now the parish of O'Connelloe, near Killaloe. The family is almost extinct in Clare, but survives in Tipperary and Offaly. Also Ó Duibhric, which see.
