Ó CUINNEÁIN—I—O Kinnane, O Kynnan, Kinnane, Guinnane, Quinane, &c.; 'descendant of Cuinneán' (diminutive of Conn). This surname was in use in Tipperary, Limerick, Clare, and perhaps other places, but it is now impossible to distinguish it from Ó Cuineáin, which see.
