Ó CORRÁIN—I—O Corraine, O Currane, O Corhane, O'Curran, Currain, Currane, Curran, Corran, Craan, Crain, Crane, Crahan, Creane, Crean, (Crehan, Creaghan, Carey), &c.; 'descendant of Corrán' (diminutive of Corradh); also written Ó Curráin; a variant of Ó Carráin, Ó Carraidhín, Ó Corraidhín, with which it was sometimes used interchangeably; a common Irish surname, found in all the provinces.
