Ó CONCHEANAINN, Ó CONCHEANNAINN—IO Concannen, O'Concannon, Concannen, Concannon; 'descendant of Cú-cheanainn' (fair-headed hound); the name of a well-known Galway family who were chiefs of Corca Mogha, anglicised Corcamoe, in the north-east of that county. The head of the family resided at Kiltullagh, in the parish of Kilkerrin, or Corcamoe.
