Mag EITEAGÁIN, Mag EITIGEIN—IV—Magettegane, Magitegen, Magettigan, MacGettigan; 'son of Eitigein' or 'Eiteagán.' The Magettigans seem to have belonged originally to Cinel Eoghain, but have been for centuries settled in Donegal.
