Mac CONCHATHRACH—IV—MacCarrick; 'son of Cúchathrach' ('hound of the cathair' or fort); the name of a Sligo family of the Ui Fiachrach race. O'Donovan found some of the name in the parish of Templeboy in Tireragh, anglicised MacCarrick. See Mac Conchairrge.
