DEALBHNA, race of Lughaidh Dealbhaodh, said to have been son of Cas, the ancestor of the Dal gCais, which see; divided into several branches seated in Meath and Connacht, as Dealbhna Mhor, now represented by the barony of Delvin, in Westmeath; Dealbhna Bheag, now the barony of Demifore, in Co. Meath; Dealbhna Eathra, or MacCoghlan's country, in the barony of Garrycastle; Dealbhna Cuile Fabhair and Dealbhna Tire-da-Locha, in Connacht.
