CLANN BHREASAIL, (1) race of Breasal; also Ui Breasail, which see; the clan-name of the MacCanns and their correlatives in Co. Armagh; and (2) race of Breasal, the clan-name of a branch of the Ui Maine (which see) seated between Loughrea and Ballinasloe, of which O'Donnellan was chief.
