UI MAINE, descendants of Maine Mor, the fourth in descent from Colla-da-chrioch, one of the ancestors of the Oirghialla (which see); the name of a great Connacht clan, whose territory comprised part of the present counties of Galway, Roscommon, Clare and Offaly, and of which O'Kelly was chief.
