Rev Patrick Woulfe
1923

de HÓRSAIGH—de Horseye, Horsey, and incorrectly Hurst; Norman 'de Horseye,' i.e., of Horsey, a parish in Norfolk. The surname is of record in Ireland since the 13th century. In the reign of Elizabeth, Jasper Horsey was seneschal of Imokilly. It still survives in Co. Waterford, but is corrupted to Ó Hórsaigh and incorrectly re-anglicised Hurst.
