Ó TUAMA—I—O'Twomey, O'Toomey, Twomey, Toomey, Twoomey, Tuomy, Towmey, &c.; 'descendant of Tuaim'; the name of a Dalcassian family, still common in Munster, especially in Co. Cork. Seán Ó Tuama was the most distinguished of the Maigue poets.
