Ó MAOLACHÁIN—I—O Molaghan, O Molleghan, Molohan, Mallaghan, (Mulligan); 'descendant of Maolachán' (from maol, bald); a rare surname. In Connacht it is generally anglicised Mulligan. Ó Maoileacháin, which see, is an attenuated form.
