Ó LODÁIN, Ó LOIDEÁIN—I—O Ludan, O Lydan, O Leadon, Ludden, Liddane, Leddan, Lydden, Lyden, Lydon, Leyden, &c.; 'descendant of Lodán,' or 'Loidéán'; a common surname in many parts of Connacht, and also in Co. Clare. Ó Lotáin and Ó Laieáin were probably older forms. See also Ó Luideáin.
