Ó GOIRMGHIALLA, Ó GOIRMGHIALLAIGH, Ó GOIRMGHIOLLA—I—Gormilly, Gormley; 'descendant of Goirmghialla' (blue-hostage); or 'Goirmghiolla' (blue servant or youth); the name of a Mayo family who were formerly lords of Partry, in the west of the barony of Carra; possibly a substitution for Ó Gormghail(e), which see.
