Ó FIACHRA, Ó FIACHRACH—I—O Fieghraie, O Fierhie, Feighry, Feighery, Feehery, Feerey, Feary, Hunt; 'descendant of Fiachra' (an ancient Irish personal name); the name of a family in Co. Tyrone, and of another in Co. Wicklow. Both families have been long dispersed and the name is now very rare. It is in some places made Hunt, by supposed translation.
