Ó CÍOCARÁIN—I—O Kiereaghan, Keighron, (Kerrigan); 'descendant of Cíocarán' (hungry); the name of a branch of the Siol-Anmchadha in Co. Galway. It seems to have been sometimes metathesised to Ó Cíoracháin, anglicised O Kiereaghan, Kerrigan. It has always been very rare.
