Mag FHÓGARTAIGH, Mag FHUAGARTAIGH—IV—Gogarty, Gogerty, Googarty; 'son of Fógartach' (proclaimed, banished); a rare North Leinster surname. Ruaidhrí Mac Fógartaigh, lord of South Breagh, died, according to the Four Masters, in 1027.
