Mac CUINNEAGÁIN—IV—M'Cunnegane, M'Quynegan, MacCunnigan, Cunnigan, Kinnegan, Cunagum, Cunningham; 'son of Cuinneagán' (diminutive of Conn); a common surname in all parts of Ireland, but Ó Cuinneagáin (which see) was nearly everywhere an alias.
