Mac CORCRÁIN—IV—M'Corcrane, M'Corkrane, Corcoran, Corkran, Corkeran, &c.; 'son of Corcrán' (diminutive of 'corcair,' purple). The head of this family was chief of Clann Ruainne in Ely O'Carroll.
