Mac BHLOSCAIDH—IV—M'blosgaid, M'blosgaigh, M'Closkie, M'Loskie, MacCloskey, MacCluskey, MacLoskey, MacLuskey, Closkey, Cluskey; 'son of Bloscadh' (a personal name among the O'Kanes); the name of a Derry family descended from Bloscadh Ó Catháin, who flourished in the 12th century; still common in Derry and other parts of Ulster.
