Mac AINDRIÚ—V—MacAndrew, [Andrewson, Anderson, Andrews, Anders]; 'son of Andrew'; an Irish patronymic assumed by a branch of the Barretts of Tirawley, Co. Mayo, who were seated in the district called the Two Bacs, lying between Lough Conn and the River Moy. It is now anglicised MacAndrew, and is very common in the district.
