UI FIACHRACH AIDHNE, or southern Ui Fiachrach, a branch of the Ui Fiachrach (which see), seated in the district of Aidhne, in the south of the present Co. Galway, co-extensive with the Diocese of Kilmacduagh. The Ui Fiachrach Aidhne derived their descent from Eoghan Aidhne, grandson of the celebrated King Dahy.
