HAMON—VIIIHamon, Hammon, Hammond; 'son of Hamo,' Norman 'Hamon,' a common personal name in early Anglo-Irish records. Soon after the invasion we find the names of 'Adam filius Hamonis' and 'Teboldus filius Haim' in the Dublin Roll. The surname cannot now be distinguished from Hámonn, which see.
