DROGH, DROGHA—VIII—Drogh, Drou, Drough, Drew; 'son of Drogo,' (a personal name of Frankish origin borne, among others, by a son of Charlemagne and brought into England by the Normans, where Drogo of Bevrere, a follower of the Conqueror, obtained a grant of Holderness in Yorkshire); an old surname in Westmeath and Offaly.
