De Práth
de PRÁTH—XI—Prat, Pratt; Latin 'de Prato,' same as the French Duprat, Dupray, i.e., at the meadow (Old French 'prat,' French 'pré,' Latin pratum), from residence thereby or therein. In early Anglo-Irish records, it generally appears in the Latin form of 'de Prato.' 'Martinus de Prato' occurs in the Dublin Roll of Names, A.D. 1216; and Richard Prat was a witness to a document in the Black Book of Limerick.
