De Neadraibhíol
de NEADRAIBHÍOL—XI—de Netterville, Nettervilde, Netterfield, Netterville; Norman 'de Netterville,' i.e., of Netherfield (lower field), name of a parish in Sussex, and of another in Nottinghamshire. This family came to Ireland about the time of the Anglo-Norman invasion and settled in the counties of Dublin and Meath. Luke Netterville was Archbishop of Armagh in the early part of the 13th century. The Nettervilles were a very distinguished family. They took an active part in public affairs and were prominent in the Confederate and Jacobite wars.
