CROMAIL—XICromall, Crummell, Grummell, Cromwell; i.e.,'of Cromwell,' a parish in Nottinghamshire; the name, strangely enough, of an old Anglo-Irish family in Limerick, where James Cromwell was mayor in 1598. It has now disappeared from Limerick, but is still found in other parts of the country.
