Stewart-Hanna family genealogy

Arms and Crest, same as “Hanna” of Newry, ante.

William, third son of William, who is No. 1 on the “Hanna” (No. 2) pedigree, was the ancestor of this branch of that family. He married Wilhelmina Stewart, of Wilmont, and had issue:

  1. William-Stewart, of whom presently.
  2. Jane, m. M. Auguste Turpin, of Paris.
  3. Maria-Anne, m. M. St. Omer.
  4. Sarah, married M. Edouard Wolfe.
  5. Lydia.

2. William-Stewart Hanna (died 1851): son of William; was sometime curate of St. George’s, Jamaica; wrote A Visit to Hayti (1835); was also Minister of Woolwich, and St. James, Marylebone, London. He m., first, Catherine Hall; secondly, Francis Colvin Blagrave, and had issue:

  1. Jane, who married Rev. David Rutten Morris, of the Isle of Wight.
  2. Stewart, of whom presently.
  3. Frances, d. young.
  4. Henry-Bathurst, known as Col. Bathurst Hanna, Bengal Staff Corps, and Quarter Master General of that Province.
  5. Julian, of Pau, France.
  6. Edith.
  7. William, d. young.
  8. Rhoda.
  9. Mina, d. young.

3. Stewart Hanna, C.E., of Naini Tal, India: son of Rev. William Stewart Hanna, living in 1888.
