Killaspugbrone
Killaspugbrone near Sligo. In the Book of Armagh it is stated that St. Patrick built a church at Cassel Irra for his disciple Brón or Bronus, who became bishop of Cuil Irra, the peninsula lying south-west of Sligo: hence the place was called Cill-easpuig-Bróin, (Four Masters), the church of bishop Bronus (easpug, a bishop).
