Quaggin—This name is the Isle of Man form of M'Guigan. This name goes under various anglicised forms, namely, Weggin in the Isle of Man; M'Quiggan in Galloway, also M'Wiggin, and M'Guiggin in Ulster. The Gaelic form of the first forms given is Mac Uiginn, the form of the latter name is Mag Uiginn.
