Bole, Boal
Bole, Boal—These names are mostly found in N.E. Ulster, and are some of the anglicised forms of the O'Boyle sept, in Gaelic O Baoighill. O'Dugan, the topographer, styles the O'Boyles the "haughty hosts," and of the "ruddy lips." They ruled early in Old Tirconnell.
