ÉABHRÓID—VIIIEverod, Evrett, Everett, Everitt, Everard; 'son of Everhault'; a variant of Éibhearárd, which see. Everard and Everhault were probably distinct names, but they were supposed by the Normans to be the same. Compare with Gerard and Gerald.
