Was living at 29 Westmoreland Street, Dublin, in 1821, and was then aged 60. He was probably the Francis Bate who sent in 1804 from the same address as William Bate (q.v.), viz., 36 Brownlow Street, London, a "View of Askeaton" to the Royal Academy; and in 1829, from 4 Bark Street, Bayswater, "he Lower Lake of Killarney."
